the weekender: new year 1/7/2011

Happy weekend. Sorry for the severe lack of posts, I’ve been battling one hell of a cold this week. I’ve been far from lucid and useless against the daytime and nighttime cold meds. Here are some links to get you through the weekend.

Turn your empty spray paint cans into stylish luminous displays.

Grosgrain is doing another themed month. This month is shoe clips! Yes, view the sequined-heart tutorial, or follow her blog for the latest designs. You bet I’ll be making these.

Loving Hey Harriet’s prints. They make me want summer.

You’ve seen them everywhere, and now it’s time to make your own. Pick up a dainty teacup from a thrift store and make your own teacup candle.

This is one of my favorite drinks. But I’m a little apprehensive about the egg white meringue on top.

I’ve never had an Italian Wedding Soup. Being a vegetarian can really limit some options, but after seeing this recipe, I’ve decided to make it with veggie crumbles.

Also, I’ve been meeting with a web developer on my blog’s layout and other fun things. I’m changing domains in the future, but I’ll keep you posted. Hopefully the unveiling will be done in a few weeks.
