etsy finds to swell your heart

nerdy Valentine’s Day cards

(Chris Bishop via buzzfeed)

Let’s be real. I could end this post right here. Because, well, any guy who gives me a Tyrion or John Snow valentine would be the best. ♥

But while Game of Thrones does take up the biggest spot in my nerd-girl heart (maybe because the books are so damn long?!), there are tons of other nerdtastic v-day cards.

Battlestar Galatica Valentine’s Day Cards

When Ryan and I went through our BSG affair, we would frequently ask each other, “would you still love me if I were a cylon?” Finding out your partner is a cylon must be the ultimate test of love, right?

And this card. Oh gosh, my heart would swell if anyone gave me this card.

Legend of Zelda Card

We have such adventurous spirits, that this could pretty much sum up our relationship.

But, I feel like this card might be more up his alley, as far as romance goes.

Princess Leia Letterpress Card

Or this card.

Spock Card

Spock Card (and so many more Star Trek cards)

I would love to give this card to my friend Michael, who introduced me to table top RPGs.

And these to all of my friends who adore Firefly.

 Firefly Cards

Firefly Valentine’s Day Cards

And if you just can’t decide which nerdy card would be best, this one pretty much covers them all.

Awkward Affections

Awkward Affections Card

But I think this one might be my favorite one of all.

Carl Sagan e-Card download

I’m always fond of when Carl Sagan is portrayed as a romantic figure. And also, his love story might be my favorite love story of all.

Mustache Cross-Stitch Fun

Does this still count for a No-Shave-November project? Ok. So, I swear I finished this project by November 30th, but I am only now getting around to it.

Mustaches

Let’s not bring up that this was Ryan’s Christmas present from last year, and I’m just now getting around to finishing it.

I am beginning to think cross-stitching is my niche in the world of thread/yarn crafts. I can actually read the patterns (that’s right, I’m talking to you, knitting), and the projects are generally on a smaller scale, which means I can actually finish them, even if it takes a year.

Mustache

These patterns were quick to complete and are going to make a fun decoration in Ryan’s apartment. You can purchase these patterns at the andwabisabi cross-stitch etsy store, which is filled with tons of super cute holiday themed cross-stitch patterns.

ah, wanderlust: dreamy vintage luggage

Sigh. Doesn’t this luggage from GetReadySetGo make you dream of vacationing at some great places?

Like taking a safari…

Upcycled Vintage Train Case

These messenger bags make me want to travel to Italy, or anywhere in Europe, really.

Vintage Dijon Mustard Yellow Messenger Bag

Upcycled Brown Vintage Messenger Bag’

I would love to take this on a fun seafaring adventure.

Upcycled Forest Green Train Case Luggage

Or maybe just take a trip to grandmother’s house. It may be boring, but at least you’ll have some attractive luggage.

Vintage Cream Suitcase Set

The owner of the shop has a blog you might want to check out.

more etsy cute animal prints

I’ve really been reluctant to post this one because there are only two left and well, I want one, but here it is:

Hedgehog, Flowers

Yes, it’s the prettiest and cutest thing ever. Katie Vernon of Chipmunk Cheeks created it. Now go off and buy the last two, so I can spend my money on bills instead of art.

I’ve also had my eyes on this spring bear.

Isn’t he grand? From Lizzy Stewart.

Happy Spring!
